Operations Engineer
Eurus Energy America is a developer and owner/operator of utility scale renewable energy (wind and solar) generation assets in North and South America. The EEA Operations and Asset Management group is responsible for the operation and management of these assets and is comprised of professionals with a broad range of U.S. and global experience and expertise in renewable energy. EEA is a small company which allows for a broader range of responsibilities across the spectrum of technical, operations, and commercial management related to the ownership of the assets.

Position Description:
The Operations Engineer will be responsible for technical and engineering aspects of the EEA interests in operating assets which include wind and solar power generating plants located in North America. The Operations Engineer shall be responsible for EEA interests in the operational projects:
- The resolution of engineering and technical related matters for projects related the generation technology, the balance of plant facilities, and the interconnection facilities and requirements. This shall apply for all electrical, mechanical, and civil aspects of the projects.
- Optimization of technical and/or commercial performance of all projects in conjunction with Operations Management team.
- Troubleshooting of failures and issues on all projects, including for all electrical, mechanical, and civil aspects.
- Tracking of all performance and availability issues at the projects.
- Program and perform analyses of projects, SCADA or otherwise, to materially improve, or keep at a high level, the operations of all projects.
- Work with engineering, technical and commercial related consultants providing services to EEA.
- Support project contracts.
- Provide technical and commercial support to the Operations team.
- Ensure warranty technical and commercial obligations and tests are performed and meet the requirements in accordance with the appropriate agreements.
- Provide support to the Project Site Operations Manager as necessary for warranty claims/ obligations and technical issues.
- Support, implementation and enforcement of the company safety program and policies.
- Procurement of spare parts for the operation of all projects.
Requirements:
The Operations Engineer shall meet the following requirements:
- Have a B.S. degree from an accredited 4-year university, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline preferably Electrical – Power/Energy, or Mechanical (others considered on basis of experience).
- Experience with SQL and SCADA programing and data analysis queries.
- Experience related to the technology of energy generation or power systems, experience in wind turbines and/or solar systems is a plus.
- Experience related to the infrastructure of energy generation power plants.
- Other relevant heavy industry, or similar, experience will be considered.
Experience and Skills:
The Operations Engineer shall possess the following experience and skills:
- Experience with equipment supply and warranty agreements, preferably solar and wind turbine supply, and warranty agreements.
- Experience with consultant service agreements.
- Operational and technical performance experience with power generation equipment and/or wind turbines and associated system or balance of plant infrastructure. Experience with solar power a plus.
- Ability to perform detailed performance and troubleshooting analyses and an understanding of root causes, effects, and analyses thereof.
- Verbal and formal written communication skills shall be top level with ability to convey complex technical topics to a wide-ranging audience.
- Well versed in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) applications.
- SQL, SCADA expertise.
Travel:
Generally, less than 20% annually.
- The Operations Engineer shall be able to travel domestically as required.
- Such travel is expected to include travel within the United States.
- On short notice, the Operations Engineer must be generally able and willing to travel for short duration trips as may be required for EEA projects.
