Financial Performance Analyst

Eurus Energy America (EEA) operations and asset management group is focused on optimizing the performance of its utility-scale renewable energy operational assets, using commercial, analytical, and engineering methods to achieve the best results. A key player in this never-ending journey is the Financial Performance Analyst: a person with strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent spreadsheet modeling skills, business knowledge of financing and equity agreements, and attention to detail; a person who can work independently, handle multiple simultaneous projects, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and is comfortable dealing with all levels of management when explaining business results, variances, and potential solutions.

EEA is seeking a Financial Performance Analyst to join our operations and asset management team in the U.S. The position reports to the Assistant VP of Commercial Management and works with a team of commercial and technical personnel to support the performance and optimization of utility-scale renewable energy assets operating in North and South America. The assets are wind and solar energy generation projects and the position covers a wide range or responsibilities within the overall commercial management group, providing everything from financial performance and cash management to variance analyses at the asset and portfolio levels, to tracking of tax and cash equity investor returns, and development and reporting of financial metrics relevant to the operation of EEA assets. Experience within the renewable energy industry is preferred, but other appropriate energy generation or heavy industry experience can be relevant.

The position is a temporary to hire position whereupon after a 90 day trial period the successful candidate will be eligible for a full time position.

The EEA operations and asset management group has been expanding and evolving to take increasingly active roles in the management, fiduciary responsibility, and performance of its assets since 2013. A key position in this growth is the Financial Performance Analyst.

EEA has been involved in the U.S. renewables sector since the late 1980s, formerly as Tomen Power, and as EEA since 2002, and is a subsidiary of Eurus Energy Holdings (EEH) located in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to EEA, EEH has assets in Asia and Europe, with a total global renewables portfolio of approximately 2800 MW.

Experience, Skills, and Requirements:

– B.S. degree from an accredited 4-year university, or equivalent, in accounting, business, or finance.
– Strong team player with problem solving and analytical skills across commercial disciplines.
– 3 to 5 years of financial services experience, preferably with operations and some project finance experience.
– Knowledge of financing and equity agreements applicable to project financial performance a plus.
– Excellent spreadsheet modelling and analytical skills with ability to model business scenarios, asset valuation, and tracking models.
– Detail and deadline orientated
– Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
– Top level verbal and formal written communication skills with ability to convey complex analytical/commercial topics to a wide-ranging audience in communications and reports.
– Well versed in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) applications.
